Lilla Bozek is a double major in Theater and Anthropology at Dartmouth College, studying Theater in the Anthropocene. Through an interdisciplinary lens, they explore how culture influences not just what theater is produced, but how. As such, embodied work is central to their practice. Lilla has experience in scenic and costume design, performance, and playwriting. They have sought involvement in educational theater through an internship with Northern Stage, VT, and company management of Dartmouth’s Shakespeare troupe, The Rude Mechanicals, with whom they spearheaded a touring production of The Comedy of Errors performed for free at local schools. They are currently exploring arts curration through a producing fellowship with the Hopkins Center for the Arts. They are especially interested in ecocriticism and art as a form of scientific communication, which they explore in their play Post-Mortim. Outside of the theater, they are currently working on a miRNA textbook and have a cat that they love very much.
